Robins Pie & Mash in East Ham
|
The single most missed place around Upton Park to go to before kick off (along with Murkoffs in Canning Town whenever you had a sweet tooth)
Tried the one in Gallions reach a few weeks back and it just cannot compare to the original matchday experience of being in Robins
Well cooked pie with a slightly burnt yet soft crusty top that contained a nice thick juicy stream of mince, soft mash all topped with a layer of creamy liquor sauce (not fucking parsley)
Modern football is shit

Same could be said for where people live.
On this site, if you don't live there then it's a shithole.

Anything that needs that amount of vinegar to enhance the taste, can't be that great to start with.
Had it once when my grandad took me to the shop opposite Upton Park station. Didn't like it.

Me old man lives at Elm Pk now and he reckons the pie mash in that one is alright. Definitely not shit.
(And he's a Bethnal Green boy originally, so he's qualified to speak!).
